Welcome to Imagine Nation Acres. My husband and I live near the small prairie city of Dauphin, in the central Canadian province of Manitoba. We live on a small acreage about 2 miles north of Dauphin, on Hwy 20N. We are approximately a two hour drive east of Yorkton, Saskatchewan and two hours north of Brandon, Manitoba. The area is surrounded by lakes, aspen forests, and gently rolling hills. Wildlife abounds, and there is a lot of good hunting and fishing in the area. Our winters are long and harsh, and our mosquitoes require landing strips, but we like it here in spite of those drawbacks. We both grew up in a city and now prefer the slower pace of rural life.
Our hobby farm opens up a new chapter in our lives... one attempting more self sustenance by growing our own meat, eggs, vegetables etc., and relying less on processed foods.
